Policy For Meter Testing
This policy covers the testing of EUB electric, gas, and water meters.
- EUB may at times replace, inspect, or perform periodic tests of its meters in order to maintain a high standard of accuracy.
- At the request of the customer, EUB will make additional tests or inspections of its meters to check for accuracy.
- If tests made at the customer’s request show that the meter is accurate within commercially accepted tolerances, no adjustment will be made to the customer’s bill and a testing fee of $30.00 per meter plus applicable shipping charges will be charged to the customer. A meter will be considered to be within commercial tolerances if the test shows that it is accurate within +/- 2%.
- If tests made at the customer’s request show that the accuracy of the meter falls outside of the commercially accepted tolerances, an adjustment shall be made to the customer’s bill over a period of not more than thirty (30) days prior to the date of the test. There will be no testing fee charged to the customer in this situation.
